Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 14, reports as follows:
Communication No. 14, transmitted by Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated December 1, 1998,
nominates for reappointment Mr. Herbert T. Hayama to the Hawaii County Fire Boazd of
Appeals.
A lifetime resident of Hawaii, Mr. Hayama has been apart-time Housing and Community
Specialist with the County of Hawaii Office of Housing since 1996. Prior to this, he had a 33-
yeaz cazeer as an engineer with the County of Hawaii. He is also a member of the Hawaii
Society of Professional Engineers. Of no political party affiliation, he will serve a term to end on
December 31, 2003.
Your Committee on Finance recommends confirmation of reappointment of Mr. Herbert T.
Hayama to the Hawaii County Fire Boazd of Appeals.
