COUNTY OF HAWAII e TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION N0. 493
WHEREAS; the Parks and Recreation Committee has
recommended the creation of 173 positions of Playground
Leaders, Playground Assistants, Junior Playground Assistants,
Swimming Instructors and Life Guards, and Tennis Instructor
on a temporary as needed basis to provide services of
recreation instructors during the summer recreation program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS in and for the County of Hawaii that for the
reasons stated above, the following positions be and
they are hereby established in the Department of Parks
and Recreation:
50 Playground Leaders at $122.40-per six (6) weeks;
50 Playground Assistants at $116.00 per six-(6) weeks;
70 Junior Playground Assistants at $90.00 per six
(6) weeks;
2 Swimming Instructors and Life Guards at $122.1;.0
per six (6) weeks;
1 Tennis Instructor at $122.40 per six (6) weeks.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Superintendent of.
said department be authorized to fill said positions by
appointment in accordance with the ordinances of the County
of Hawaii and statutes of the Territory of Hawaii and to
pay the employees selected compensation as provided by
ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County
of Hawaii be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
forward a copy each of this resolution to the Department
of Civil Service and to the Department of Parks and
Recreation for their information.
