Comm. 657: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 09-65, AS AMENDED,
(Bill 187) RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2009 TO JUNE 30, 2010 (adds the Department of
Public Works, Wailoa Flood Channel Dredging Project for $200,000 to the Capital
Budget)

(Res. 290-09) INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A HAWAII
NARCOTICS TASK FORCE - RECOVERY ACT GRANT; and
Recommends adoption of Res. 290-09.

(Bill 188) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 09-64, AS AMENDED, THE
OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 {appropriates revenues of $113,885 in the Federal
Grants - Hawaii Narcotics Task Force - Recovery Act Account; and appropriates
same to the Hawaii Narcotics Task Force - Recovery Act Account. These funds will
be used to disrupt the flow of narcotics via the apprehension of mid-to-high-level
dealers that are smuggling and distributing narcotics into and with the State of
Hawai`i.)

Comm. 659: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7, ARTICLE 2, SECTION 7-8, OF
(Bill 189) THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED),
RELATING TO CIVIL DEFENSE, DISASTER CONTROL (regulates the use
of water spigots and updates water hauling charges during times of declared
emergency; limits water collection from the spigots to 55 gallons per day; and
stipulates that the container size shall be no more than 55 gallons)

Comm. 660: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 09-64, AS AMENDED, THE
(Bill 190) OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 {increases revenues of $28,348 in the Federal
Grants - Healthy Aging/Chronic Disease Self Management (CDSMP) Program
Account, and appropriates same to the Healthy Aging/Chronic Disease Self
Management Program Account; funds will be used to continue their implementation
of the CDSMP, which is an evidenced-based prevention program}

TRANSPORTATION, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A SECTION 5311
NON-URBANIZED FORMULA PROGRAM GRANT FOR THE HAWAII
COUNTY MASS TRANSIT AGENCY; and
Recommends adoption of Res. 291-09.

Hoffmann, Ikeda, Naeole-Beason, Yagong
and Chair Onishi.

(Bill 191) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 09-64, AS AMENDED, THE
OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 (appropriates revenues of $25,154 in the Federal
Grants - Section 5311 Non-Urbanized Formula Program Account; and appropriates
same to the Mass Transit Agency Section 5311 Non-Urbanized Formula Program
Account. These funds will be used to supplement the Job Access and Reverse
Commute (JARC) grant that was recently appropriated into the Operating Budget.
The grant is intended to provide increased transportation services for working
commuters and for those seeking employment and also provides the operating costs
to establish additional routes and frequency of bus service, including additional
weekday and weekend service.)
