Your Committee on Finance, to which was refen•ed Bill No. 16, reports as follows:
Bill No. 16, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 15-98 by Finance Director Harry Takahashi,
dated December 18, 1998, amends Ordinance No 98-49,as amended, the Operating Budget
ending June 30, 1998. The amendment is as follows:

010-201-5219.49-115 DARE/DOE General $13,565
The State of Hawaii Depazttnent of Education is providing funding to conduct the DARE
Leadership Institutes, Pazents Program and DARE activities. Funding is also included to send
officers for training and provide instructional supplies for classrooms.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 16 and
recommends it pass first reading.
