Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 17, reports as follows:
Bill No. 17, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 60, dated
December 18, 1998, amends Ordinance No. 98-SQ, as amended, the Capital Budget ending
June 30, 1998, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS
Waiakea Stream BMP Project-Federal (110-299-5292.16-115) $90,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
Federal Grants Receivable $90,000
This federally reimbursed project proposes to reduce pollutants in Wailoa Pond by stabilizing a
section of Waiakea Stream and through education of residents within the drainage shed.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 17 and
recommends it pass first reading.
