HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 024 Draft 01 1957 COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 6 SETTING PER DIEM OF $20,00 WHEN AWAY FROM THE COUNTY OF HAWAII ON OFFICIAL COUNTY BUSINESS. WHEREAS, the performance of County business necessitates the traveling of officers and employees away from the Island of Hawaii; and WHEREAS, personal expenses are incurred on such official business trips, NOVJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS in and for the County of Hawaii that a County official, employee, or representative, while away from the County of Hawaii on official County business, shall be allowed a per diem of $20,00 a day, which amount is to cover all personal expenses such as board, lodging, etc., but not fares for transportation;` and the auditor is directed to issue a warrant payable to such official, employee or representative for such f purpose, out of departmental travel account, at the above rate, from the date of his departure from, to the date of his return to, the County of Hawaii, upon furnishing a sworn signed statement setting forth the time of absence.. For the purpose of computing per diem, twenty-four (24) hours shall constitute a day; provided, however, any person who is away from the County on official County business for less than twelve (12) hours shall be entitled to $10,00, and provided further that any person who is away for more than twelve (12) hours but less than 4 twenty-four (24) hours shall be entitled to $20.00. A FE, 173 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of this resolution be and the same are applicable to all departments in the County of Hawaii. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 272 (1955) and all other resolutions inconsistent with this resolution are hereby repealed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that -the County Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the County Auditor, County Treasurer, County Purchasing Agent, and to all departments in the County of Hawaii Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this day of February, 1957.
