Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 32-99, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 32-99, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, dated January 14, 1999,
via Communication No. 123, increases the time element of Golf Course Starter 2/ST to 1/2T, and
authorizes the transfer of funds to cover the cost of the additional time element.
Prior to 1995, the rental of riding golf carts at the Hilo Municipal Golf Course had been a part of
the operation of the concessionaire. Thereafter, the County of Hawaii assumed the responsibility
of all duties relative to golf cart handling. These added duties necessitate increasing the time
element of Position No. 2837, Golf Course Starter 2/ST to Golf Course Starter 1/2T.
Resolution No. 32-99 also authorizes the transfer of $753 from the Golf Course Overtime
account (090-561-5561.01-021) to the Golf Course Regular Salaries and Wages account (090-
561-5561.01-011) to cover the cost of the additional time element.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 32-99
and recommends its adoption.
