Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 48, reports as follows:
Bill No. 48, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 57-99 by Finance Director Harry Takahashi,
via Communication No. 185, dated Februazy 23, 1999, amends Ordinance No. 98-49, as
amended, the Operating Budget ending June 30, 1999. The amendment is as follows:
From:
3305.07 Federal Grants -Kaulunani Urban Forestry General $5,195
To:
010-500-5505.76-341 Lincoln Pazk Landscaping General $5,195
The aforementioned appropriation reflects an award received by the Department of Pazks and
Recreation from the Kaulunani Council as part of a Kaulunani, Hawaii The Beautiful Urban
Forestry Grant. The grant moneys will be used for a tree and palm planting project at Lincoln
Park in Hilo.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 48 and
recommends it pass first reading.
