COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. A?~
NAMING OF THE STREET IN CHARLES CHONG MANVILLE.
.WHEREAS, a segment of the street in Charles Chong
Manville in South Hilo, County of Hawaii is presently
under the jurisdiction of the county; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Traffic Commission has
considered and recommended a name for said street; and
WHEREAS, the name CHONG STREET has been recommended
because of its long usage and public acceptance and,
further, because an appropriate Hawaiian name is not
readily ascribable,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors in and for the County of Hawaii that the
Street in Charles Chong Manville be and is hereby named
CHONG STREET.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be sent to the Building Department so as to authorize an
assignment of numbers to the residences bounding said street.
