COUNTY OF HAWAII TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 5253 of the Revised
Laws of Hawaii 1945, and Joint Resolution No, 44 of the
1953 Regular Session of the Legislature of the Territory
of Hawaii, the budget of the-County of Hawaii ;was
prepared prior to the fifteenth day following the
adjournment sine die of the extended 1957 Session of the
Territorial Legislature; and
WHEREAS, said budget was submitted to the government
of the Territory of Hawaii prior to said date, but was
inadvertently sent to the wrong department of said
government of the Territory of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii did comply with the
spirit of said Section 5253 of the Revised Laws of
Hawaii 1945 and said Joint Resolution No. 44, though
possibly not with the letter of said legislative
pronouncements; and
WHEREAS, a Special Session of the Legislature of
the Territory of Hawaii has been convoked by His
Excellency, the Governor of the Territory of Hawaii,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors'of the County of Hawaii that the Honorable
Members of the 1957 Special Session of the Territorial;
Legislature, and His Excellency, the Governor of the
Territory of Hawaii, be and they are hereby respectfully
requested to exercise the good powers of their respective
offices to help avert any financial disaster the County
of Hawaii may sustain by virtue of the mis-transmittal of

BE IT FURTHER RESCLVED that the Clerk of the County
of. Hawaii'be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
forward copies of this resolution to the Honorable Samuel
Wilder King, Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, the
Honorable Kam Tai Lee, Treasurer of the Territory of
Hawaii,., and to the Honorable Members of the Senate and
.House of Representatives of the Special Session of the
Twenty-Ninth Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii.
