Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 162, reports as follows:
Bill No. 162, transmitted via Communication No. 578, from Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated
October 6, 2009, presents a Request for State Land Use Boundary Amendment to reclassify State
lands from Agricultural to Urban, at Kahului 2°d, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-5-017:42.
There was no public testimony. The applicant appeared before your Committee, however, there
were no questions or discussion regarding Bill 162.
Your Committee concurs with the Planning Commission and the Planning Director's favorable
recommendation for approval of the State Land Use amendment.
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 162, and
recommends it pass first reading.
