Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 83-99, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 83-99, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 81 by Finance Director Harry Takahashi,
via Communication No. 283, dated Apri121, 1999, authorizes the acceptance of monetary
donations from various companies.
The following companies have donated funds to be used for programs at the Kona Community
Aquatics Center Pool:
Keauhou Kona Construction Corp., P.O. Box 9007, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745 $1,000.00
Martin Pacific Electric, 76-6357 Kololia Street, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740-2262 25.00
Calvin's Plumbing, 73-4840 Kanalani Bldg. D, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 100.00
All Pool & Spa, 73-5560 Maiau Street, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 100.00
Matsuyama Roofing & Co., Inc., 851 Leilani Street, Hilo, HI 96720 50.00
Kona Sun Upholstery, Inc., 73-4820 Kanalani Street, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 100.00
Total $1,375.00
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the council, on behalf of the
county, may accept gifts of donations of personal property.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 83-99
and recommends its adoption. Your Committee also recommends that letters of appreciation be
sent to the aforementioned companies.
