COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO

WHEREAS, Section 6-190, R.L.H. 1955, provides for
the affiliation and coverage under the Social Security
Act for members of the Employeest Retirement System of
the Territory of Hawaii, which includes employees of the
County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Section 2-b (d)-of Act 284, Session Laws
of Hawaii, 1957, designated the Secretary of the Employees
Retirement System as the "Territorial Agency" to administer
such Social Security affiliation and coverage program,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Supervisors in and for the County of Hawaii, that the
Territorial Agency be-.requested to proceed and obtain
extension of Social Security coverage for certain employees
of the County of Hawaii as provided in Section 6-190,
R.L.H. 1955, and Acts 143 and 284, S.L.H. 1957, in the
same manner as it is extended to the employees of the
Territory of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Territorial Agency
be, and it is hereby assured that the County of Hawaii
will comply with the requirements of Sections 6-195
through 6-199, R.L.H. 1955, all relating to the collection
and payment of social security taxes and/or contributions,
the keeping of records, making of reports, etc., and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County
of Hawaii be, and he is hereby directed to transmit copies
of this Resolution to the Secretary of the Territorial
Retirement System, and to the Auditor of the County of
Hawaii. p
