COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. S
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has placed certain
buses owned by the County under the supervision and control
of certain public schools; and
WHEREAS, three of said buses are presently under the
supervision and control of the Kohala High & Elementary
School, one under that of Pahala High & Elementary School,
and one under the Naalehu Elementary & I.ntermediate.School;
and
WHEREAS, for certain occasions it is the respective
schools' policy to charge and collect certain rentals for
the use of said buses,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS in and for the County of Hawaii that a special
fund to be known as the "Purchase of School Buses and
-Replacement Fund" be hereby created for the purposes of
depositing into said fund all of the rentals collected
from the said buses and of drawing from said fund to
purchase, maintain, repair or replace school buses.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all existing resolutions,
or portions thereof, which are inconsistent with this
resolution are hereby rescinded and repealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County
of Hawaii be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
forward a copy of this Resolution to Mr. Ernest B. De Silva,
District Superintendent, Hawaii Island Schools; Mr. Murray
