COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO.
TRANSFER OF $55,000.00 FROM SOUTH HILO R/M FUND TO
MOTOR POOL ON LOAN BASIS.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 191 of the County of Hawaii,
a division of automotive equipment and motor pool under
the jurisdiction of the department of public works was
created and established; and
WHEREAS, immediate funds are .needed'to"implement:
and carry out the duties and functions of this division
in keeping with the expanding needs of the department of
public works to further its public works program; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 113 dated January lo, 1957,
of the County of Hawaii, the Board of Supervisors may
approve the transfer of funds heretofore appropriated for
specified accounts to another account,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS in and for the County of Hawaii that the
sum of $55,000.00 from the South Hilo R/M Fund be transferred
to the division of automotive equipment and motor pool on a
loan basis.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Auditor be and
he is hereby authorized,a.nd directed to effectuate the
said transfer of funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County
of Hawaii be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
forward a copy of this Resolution to the County Auditor
and to the Department of Public Works, County of Hawaii.

RESOLUTION NO.
REQUESTING APPROVAL FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF $18,000 FOR THE
PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR HONOKAA HOSPITAL PER ACT 40. .1
S.L.H. 1949, AS AMENDED BY ACT. 100, S.L.H. 1951.
WHEREAS, $250,000 was appropriated by the Legislature
fox the construction of Honokaa Hospital by subsection (a)
of Section 2, Item 42, Act 401, S.L.H. 1949, and said Act
was amended by Act 100, S.L.H. 1951 segregating and earmarking
the amount appropriated to $150,000 fox construction and
$100,000 fox equipment, and
WHEREAS, the sum of $82,000 has already been advanced and
expended leaving a balance of $18,000 out of the original appro-
priation for the purchase of equipment for s.aid hospital, and
WHEREAS, the need fox additional equipment and replace-
ments have been indicated and warranted since the inception
of services at the said new hospital.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
in and for the County of Hawaii that the Honorable Paul J.
Thurston, chairman of the Priorities Committee, be and he is
hereby respectfully requested to approve the advancement of
$18,000 for the purchase of equipment for Honokaa Hospital.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and he
is hereby instructed to forward a copy of this resolution to
the Honorable Paul J. Thurston, chairman of the Priorities
Committee. /~j
