COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, the development of the economy of the
County of Hawaii demands an adequate system of public
highways and
WHEREAS, a direct route between Hilo and Kona will
greatly foster the development of the economy of the
County of Hawaii,
NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF

SUPERVISORS in and for the County of Hawaii that the
Honorable William M. Wachter, Superintendent of Public
Works, Territory of Hawaii, be and he is hereby requested_
to exercise the good powers of his office in designating
the "proper direct Hilo-Kona road" as a part of the
Territory of HawaiiT s secondary system of highways
within the County of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and
he is hereby requested and authorized to forward a copy
of this resolution to the Honorable William M. Wachter,
Superintendent of Public Works, Territory of Hawaii, fox
his consideration and action.
