Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 121-99, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 121-99, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication
No. 389, dated July 20, 1999, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from Solid Rock
Ministries of Kona.
Solid Rock Ministries of Kailua-Kona has graciously donated one Polaroid camera, one step
express camera, two Minolta Maxxum 300SL cameras with Zoom 35-701enses, and two EOS
Rebel Kit G cameras with accessories (camera bag, film and battery) to the Hawaii County
Police Department.
The retail value of the camera equipment is two thousand two hundred thirty three-dollars and
ninety-six cents ($2,233.96).
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the council, on behalf of the
county, may accept gifts of donations of personal property.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 121-99
and recommends its adoption. Your Committee also recommends that a letter of appreciation be
sent to Pastor James Texeira, Solid Rock Ministries at 73-4855 Kanalani Street, Kailua-Kona,
Hawaii 96740.
