Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 122-99, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 122-99, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication
No. 390, dated July 21, 1999, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from Bank of Hawaii,
Kaiko'o Branch.
Bank of Hawaii, Kaiko'o Branch ,has graciously donated a 7020 NCR desktop computer with
0235 monitor and keyboard to the Hawaii County Police Department.
The value of the computer and equipment is one hundred dollars ($100).
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the council, on behalf of the
county, may accept gifts of donations of personal property.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 122-99
and recommends its adoption. Your Committee also recommends that a letter of appreciation be
sent to Arthur Taniguchi, Manager and Vice President, Bank of Hawaii Kaiko'o Branch at 120
Pauahi Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
