Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 123-99, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 123-99, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication
No. 391, dated July 21, 1999, authorizes the acceptance of a donation form the Puna Geothennal
Venture.
Puna Geothermal Venture has graciously donated a Gateway 2000 486DX/33 Desktop computer
with monitor, keyboazd and mouse to the Hawaii County Police Department.
The value of the computer equipment is one hundred dollazs ($100).
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the council, on behalf of the
county, may accept gifts of donations of personal property.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 123-99
and recommends its adoption. Your Committee also recommends that a letter of appreciation be
sent to Barry Mizuno, Financial Manager, Puna Geothermal Venture at P.O. Box 30, Pahoa,
Hawaii 96778.
