Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 407, reports as follows:
Communication No. 407, transmitted by Hawaii State Association of Counties (HSAC) Vice
President Al Smith, dated August 3, 1999, presents for approval the 2000 HSAC Legislative
Policy Statement.
The Policy Statement is identical to the 1999 Statement that was adopted by the County last yeaz.
The Policy Statement provides general guidance and authorizes the HSAC Executive Committee
to testify on behalf of HSAC on matters in the HSAC Legislative Package.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication No. 407
and recommends the approval of the 2000 HSAC Legislative Policy Statement.
