Attached please find a proposed amendment to Condition "M" of Bill 184, regarding wastewater
systems. The Department of Environmental Management and Planning Department have requested
that new standard language replace the existing language as found in Condition "M." The new
standard language is as follows:
"M. [The project shall connect to the existing County sewer line prior to the issuance of a
Certificate of Occupancy. The applicant shall install a pri'/ate sev/age pump station
if required by the Department of Environmental Management.] If required by the
Director of the Department of Environmental Management ("DEM"), applicant shall
conduct a sewer study in accordance with the then applicable wastewater system
design standards prior to approval to connect to the County sewer system. Applicant
shall provide such sewer line or other facility improvements as the Director of DEM
may reasonably require, which the sewer study may indicate are advisable for
mitigation of impacts of the proposed proiect."
Please note that this amendment replaces Condition "M" in its entirety and will not cause any
renumbering. Therefore, to avoid waste, I am only attaching a clean copy of the amendment, rather
than the bill in its entirety.
