A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF BLEACHERS FROM
DR. AND MRS. BILL Y BERGIN.
WHEREAS, in preparation for the 1998 Old Hawaii on Horseback Pageant, Dr. amd Mrs. Billy Bergin
constructed 5 (five) bleachers; amd
WHEREAS, Dr. and Mrs. Billy Bergin wish to donate the five bleachers to the County of Hawaii to be
housed and maintained at the Waimea soccer field for County use, and for use for future Old Hawaii on Horseback
Pageants; and
WHEREAS, the retail value of the five bleachers is seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500); and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on beh31f of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF'THE COUNIY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii is authorized to accept the
donation of five bleachers froni Dr. andMrs.Billy Bergin to be housed and maintained at the Waimea ~occer field for
County use, and for use for future Old Hawaii on Horseback Pageants. ' ,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Clerk is hereby directed to forward copies of this resolution
to Finance Director, Harry Takahashi, and Dr. and Mrs. Billy Bergin, at 62-2279 B Kanehoa Drive, Kamuela, Hawaii
96743.
