RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAU TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
ORGANIZED CRIME DRUG ENFORCEMENT TASKFORCE THROUGH THE DRUG ENFORCEMENT
ADMINISTRATION, PURSUANT TO ~RS 46-..7,F()RA OCDETF GRANT.
WHEREAS, the Organized .crime Drug Enforcement Task Force ,through the Drug
Enforcement Adminlstration, is desirous of providinitfunding for expenses for
overtime and travel costs incurred during specific investigations ,and prosecutions;

WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and w;llingto proceed
with its obligations under the OCDETF Grant;
WHEREAS,pursuant to Sections 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised, Statutes, the
Federal government may enter into agreements with the C()uncll ,of the County of Hawaii
providing the expenditures or receipt of funds'orforother assistance;

NOW, THEREFORE BElT RESOL.VED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAUthat
the Honorable StephenK. Yamashiro is hereby authorized and desigl',lated to sign in the
name of the County Project Numbfi)r PA-HI-028 , which will effectuate these purposes.

BE IT FURTHERRESOLVED,that:.the County Clerk is hereby directed to forward
copies of. this Resolution to said Mayor Yamashiro , the Chief of Police, and any other
interested governmental agencies. . .
