Kenoi <br />mayor <br />February 18, 2010 <br />J Yoshimoto, Council Chair and <br />Members of the Hawai'i County Council <br />Hawaii County Council <br />25 Aupuni Street <br />Hilo, Hawai'i 96720 <br />Re: Capital Budget <br />Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance adding the North Kona Effluent Reuse Upgrade project <br />for $3,643,000 into this fiscal year's Capital Budget. The design and construction of the <br />infrastructure for this project is be performed under the State of Hawai'i, Department of <br />Transportation — Highway Division's (State DOT) Queen Ka'ahumanu Widening Project — <br />Phase II which extends from Kealakehe Parkway to Keahole Airport. Due to delays by the <br />State in securing a contractor, the previous appropriation for this project has lapsed and <br />needs to be re- appropriated.
