'� /; STATE OF HAWAII <br /> or .. - <br /> BILL NO. 178 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 10 3 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 <br /> (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION I. Purpose. The purpose of these amendments is to revise "no parking" areas <br /> along Kalanianaole Street to better address parking needs and safety concerns for pedestrians and <br /> bicyclists, and to otherwise match field conditions as deemed appropriate based on field visits. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, section 24 -280, schedule 28 (No parking <br /> at anytime), paragraph (c), South Hilo, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as <br /> amended), is amended by making the following additions and deletions, with the resulting <br /> subparagraphs to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br /> "(47) Kalaniana`ole Street, [makai]north side, [ at]from a point <br /> [four tenths of a mile wcst of Leleiwi Street and extending three <br /> hundred twelvc]five hundred eighty feet west of Oeoe Street and <br /> extending five hundred seventy -one feet in the westerly direction." <br /> "(48) Kalaniana`ole Street, [mauka]south side, from Kamehameha <br /> Avenue to a point [on ]sixty -three feet west of the Seaside <br /> Restaurant driveway." <br /> "(49) Kalaniana`ole Street, [r -_ . - -- . ' <br /> extending one hundred eighty three feet in the southwesterly <br /> direction until the first parking stall on Banyan Way] north side, <br /> from a point five hundred eighteen feet east of Banyan Way <br /> extending five hundred eighty -one feet in the westerly direction." <br />
