Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 133-97, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 133-97, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via
Communication No. 417, dated August 13, 1999, authorizes the County of Hawaii to enter into a
multi-year lease for a copy machine.
The Office of the Corporation Counsel, Family Support Division-Hilo Branch wishes to enter
into amulti-year lease contract with purchase options for five years for one copy machine. As
this office is State funded, the County of Hawaii will be fully reimbursed for the entire lease
cost.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 133-99
and recommends its adoption.
