A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PI RECTOR OF FINANCE TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE LICENSES OR PERMITS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS TO ALLOW THE
GRAZING OF ANIMALS ON THE VACANT PORTION OF THE AINAKEA ELDERLY
HOUSING SITE
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai'i is the owner of the Ainakea
Elderly Housing site" ,TMK: 5-3-11:'102; and
WHEREAS, the County qf Hawai'i, through its Office of
Housing and Community Development, wishest'o allow the grazing of
animal(s) on the Ainakea EldeJ::'ly Housing site;, and
WHEREAS, Section 2-119 of the Hawai'i County Code allows the
'Hawai'i County Council to,authorize the Finance Director to issue
licenses or permits through negotiations and with~ut public
auction for the temporary, oc:cirpancy of County-owned lands; and
WHEREAS, the Hawai'i County Council finds that it serves the
. best interest of' the County of Hawai ' i to', Cl.uthorize the Finance
Director to iS,sue licenses, or permitsthroughp.~gotiation and

without public auction to allow the. grazing of animal(s) on the
Ainakea Elderly Housing site until the site'is needed for elderly
hous~ng.
