After reading Resolution No. 281 -09, I feel that the idea of making the punishment for
possessing /using marijuana less severe is a very bad idea. Making the offense less of a crime will
send mixed messages out to the community. If you make the use of an illegal drug a very low
priority for punishment, the use of it will escalate, and many problems will ensue. Marijuana is
illegal for a reason. The punishment should remain the same as it is now.
