RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A PORTION OF THE HAINA
MILL ROAD FROM HAMAKUA SUGAR COMPANY. INC.. TAX MAP KEYS
(3)4-S-02:PORTIONS 11 AND 21.
WHEREAS. Hamakua Sugar Company. Inc. is the owner of a portion of the Haina Mill
Road. Tax Map Keys (3)4-S-02:Portions 11 and 21. being more particularly described in
Exhibit A and delineated on Exhibit B attached hereto; ~'and
-WHEREAS. 'the Haina Mill road provides access. for the Haina Mill Camp and the
County's Raina Park; and
WHEREAS. Hamaku~ Sugar Company. Inc. desires to quitclaim its interest in the Haina

Mill Road to the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS. Article XIII. Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the
Council. on behalf of the County of Hawaii. may accept gifts or donations of real property.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII. that in accordance with Article XIII. Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter. the
County of Hawaii accepts the donation of real property. known as a portion of the Haina Mill
Road. Tax Map Keys (3)4-S-02:Portions 11 and 21. consisiing of3.236S acres. from Hamakua
Sugar Company, Inc.
A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to: (1) John T. Goss, Trustee ofHamakua
