It is my pleasure to nominate Wilma Matsumura of Council District 2 to the Hawai'i
County Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Preservation Commission.
Ms. Matsumura is a 45 -year resident of Hawai'i. In 2004, she retired as a librarian with
the Hawaii State Public Library.
Her community service includes membership with the Hawai'i Public Library Friends,
Read to Me Advisory Board, and the ZONTA Club of Hilo.
Ms. Matsumura states that she is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, she
will serve a term to end on December 31, 2015, replacing Larry Komata whose term
expired on December 31, 2009.
