. 'RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ABANDONMENT AND QUITCLAIM OF THE
COUNTY ROAD EASEMENT AT HONAUNAU, S. KONA, HAWAII, TO
KAMEHAMEHA SCHOOL BERNICEPAUAHIBISHOP ESTATE, TAX MAP KEY
NO. (3)8-4-011.
BElT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, the Caunty af Hawaii awns apartian af the aId Hanaunau Raad at
Kumukahi, Hanaunau, Hawaii, identified an the tax maps as Tax Map Key
No. (3)8-4-011, adjacentta the Pu'uhanua 0 ~anaunau Natianal Histaric Park, and as
shawn an attached Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, the raadway was abandaned in 1960 as a public raadway, when the
current Hanaunau Raad was canstructed; and
WHEREAS, the deed fram Bishap Estate to' the Caunty af Hawaii states that the
right-af-way cauld anly be used far raadwaypmpases, and that.at anytime shauld the.
Caunty af Hawaii abandan ar cease to' maintain and use said right-af-way far the pmpase
af a public highway, theIl, and in either case, the estate 'and title canveyed shall revert to'
and revest in said Bishap Estate; and
WHEREAS, Sectian 2-111, Hawaii Caunty Cade, requires that real praperty shall
be dispased af thraugh resalutian approved by a majarity af the Cauncil.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE.IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the Finance Directar is autharized to' dispase af that partian

'No. (3)8-4-011, adjacent to the Pu'uhonuaO HonaunauNational Park, to Kamehameha
School Bernice Pauahi Bishop Estate.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the. County Clerk transmit this resolution to
the Chief Engineer and the Director of Finance.
