RESOLUTION NO. 313.10
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF
MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR THREE (3) 75 CUBIC YARD REFUSE TRAILERS
WHEREAS, Section 10 -11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or more than one fiscal year be
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County is in need of three (3) 75 cubic yard refuse trailers to replace three 1991
Brothers 75 cubic yard trailers that have high mileage and are incurring costly mechanical and structural repairs;
and
WHEREAS, the trailers to be replaced are worn down due to their daily use to haul refuse from the
transfer stations to either East or West Hawaii landfill; and
WHEREAS, the County wishes to enter into a five (5) year contract to lease with purchase options for
three (3) 75 cubic yard refuse trailers for solid waste operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I that the
Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement with purchase options for the
acquisition of three (3) 75 cubic yard refuse trailers for solid waste operations and that sufficient funds be
budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the
agreement.
