Re: Operating Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the current fiscal year's Operating Budget by
appropriating an additional $717,678 into the Hawai'i County Mass Transit Agency's
Federal Transit Administration Grant account. This increase in appropriation will be used
towards administrative and operating expenses in providing public transportation services
in Hawai'i County.

Federal funds amounting to $717,678 have been appropriated to the County of Hawaii for public
transportation. These funds are from the Federal Transit Administarion Section 5311 Non - Urbanized grants
program. Funds will be used to provide public transportation services in Hawaii County.
