Comm. 739: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 09-65, AS AMENDED, (Bill 217) RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2009 TO JUNE 30, 2010 {increases the appropriation to the Department of Public Works (DPW), Kaūmana Drive Flood Protection Project by $191,000; and adds the DPW Kaūmana Drive Flood Protection Project - County for $250,000 to the Capital Budget. These projects include preparation of construction plans and specifications to provide flood protection to homes along Kaūmana Drive and Chong Street and one-half mile above Wilder Road, for design work for the culvert replacement on Wilder Road and a FEMA Conditional Letter of Map Revision (LOMAR)} From Finance Director Nancy E. FC-26 Page 3 March 16, 2010 Comm. 740: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 09-64, AS AMENDED, THE (Bill 218 ) OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 (by increasing revenues of $717,678 in the Federal Grants - Federal Administration Grant Account, and appropriating same to the Mass Transit Agency’s Federal Transit Administration Account; these funds will be used towards administrative and operating expenses in providing public transportation services in Hawai‘i County) From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated March 3, 2010, transmitting the above bill. Comm. 741: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL (Res. 312-10) YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR FURNISHING AND IMPLEMENTING GREEN WASTE COLLECTION SITES IN WEST HAWAI‘I AND EAST HAWAI‘I FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT (a five-year contract with the Solid Waste Division for green waste operations in West Hawai‘i and East Hawai‘i; the new Request for Proposals will allow options for acceptance of other organic materials like biosolids, paper, and food) From Finance Director Nancy E. Comm. 742: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL (Res. 313-10) YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR THREE (3) 75 CUBIC YARD REFUSE TRAILERS (a five-year lease agreement for the Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division; the new refuse trailers will be replacing three 1991 Brothers trailers that are reaching the end of their useful lives and are incurring costly mechanical and structural repairs) From Finance Director Nancy E. Comm. 743: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL (Res. 314-10) YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR TWO (2) HOOK ROLL ON/OFF TRUCKS AND SIX (6) ROLL ON/OFF BINS (a five-year lease agreement for the Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division, for equipment to be used for receiving and hauling refuse from the Miloli‘i transfer station. FC-26 Page 4 March 16, 2010 Comm. 744: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO (Res. 315-10) AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR THE SEXUAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND PLANNING PROJECT GRANT; and (Bill 219 ) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 09-64, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 {appropriates revenues of $9,900 in the Federal Grants - Sexual Violence Prevention & Planning Account; and appropriates same to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Sexual Violence Prevention & Planning Account. These funds will support Area Strategic Work Groups sessions, capacity building workshops, and participation in the Sexual Violence Primary Prevention Implementation Committee and facilitator training on Oahu.)
