I very recently heard about the request by the new owners of Maliu 3 to eliminate the promised connector road towards the bottom highway. When we bought our lot, we considered the future road an asset to the Maliu community for safety and convenience reasons. Now the new owner is saying the road is too expense. That's too bad; we and others bought because of the promised road and then this guy comes along and says "Oh, it's too expensive!" Well he bought it with that attached baggage. All you council people are doing is adding more profit to this guy's bank account by removing the road for him. What does the neighborhood get in return? No one is going to spend millions of dollars knowing that they might lose millions because of a simple road. Did anyone ask these guys for some cost figures or are you just going based on their good word? If the road is really too expensive, how about they pay to pave the existing County dirt roads into the subdivision ?? I think one road is located right in front of Mr. Prohoroff's house and it leads out of Maliu ridge to Hawi road. There's also another road that leads out to Route 250 that's County owned and partly paved. How about the developer fix -up those roads? Please don't just give these guys something for nothing. You're supposed to look out for the interests of the community in general; not developers specifically. Thank You, Comm. No. 3 7S, 003 ( .,, Rile No. ?N 6 I 4 1 J JIII swede COVNc.IL Ref.
