HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 117 Draft 01 1998-2000 0 0 COUNTY OF HAWAII ba; 'STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 117 99 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND TOURISM (DBEDT) - WHEREAS, pursuant to Act 182, SLH 1992, the State Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT), received funding for the implementation of a statewide energy emergency planning project; and WHEREAS, this energy emergency planning project has been completed, and the balance of the project funds are to be disbursed to the various counties; and WHEREAS, the various counties are to use these funds for the purpose of supporting energy emergency preparedness activities to protect and safeguard the lives and property of the public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the Office of the Mayor is authorized to enter into an Agreement with the State Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is authorized to sign the above - referenced agreement and any related documents on behalf of the Office of the Mayor and the County of Hawaii pursuant to the Hawaii County Charter. 0 0 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor; the State of Hawaii, Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism; the Civil Defense Agency; and the Departments of Research and Development and Finance.
