" <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTy OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN 'AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS46."..7, FORA VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN GRANT. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the ,United States of America through the State Department of the <br />Attorney General Crimepreventlon and Justice Assistance Division, is desirous of <br />providi'ng funding to. improve the quality of investigation into extra famUialand <br />intrafamIlial sexual and physical abuse of children; <br /> <br />~EREAS. the Hawaii County Police Department is ready and willIng to proceed <br />with itS obligations under the Violence Against Children Grant; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant tO,Sections 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the <br />Fetieral government: may enter into agreements with the Council of the County of Hawaii <br />providing the expenditures or receipt of funds or for other assistance; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />the Honorable Stephen K.
