Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 677, reports as follows:
Communication No. 677, transmitted by Mayor Billy Kenoi, dated January 8, 2010, requested
confirmation of the appointment of Joe Reynolds of Council District 8 to the County of Hawaii Water
Board, to serve a term ending on December 31, 2011.
There was no public testimony regarding the appointments. Mr. Reynolds was present for the meeting via
video-conferencing from the Kona Council office.
Mr. Reynolds introduced himself and stated his interest in serving on the Water Board. Committee
members thanked Mr. Reynolds for stepping up and accepting the position on the Water Board. Planning
Committee Chair Donald Ikeda waived Mr. Reynolds' presence at Council.
Your Committee on Planning is in accord with Mayor Kenoi's nomination and recommends confirmation
of the appointment of Joe Reynolds to the Hawaii County Water Board.
