SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
KOLOA MAOLI ROAD
25 MPH SPEED LIMIT
We request the Hawaii County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1 (Speed Limits),
Section 24 -255, Schedule 3 (25 mile per hour limit), paragraph (g) be amended by
adding new item
f J KOLOA MAOLI ROAD.
The County of Hawaii has an easement for Koloa Maoli Road and maintains the portion
that is a part of the Puna Emergency Access Road (PEAR). It was determined that
having this easement provides a degree of county ownership that would warrant this
' amendment to the Hawai'i County Code.
A location map is attached for your reference.
