NAMING OF A STREET IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, STATE OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawaii is authorized to adopt street names of
unnamed roadways in the County of Hawaii pursuant to Section 22-35, Article 2, Chapter 22,
Hawaii County Code; and
WHEREAS, the County Council adopted Resolution 355-82 which named the roadways in
Kona Heavens Subdivision, Units I & II; and
WHEREAS, the main mauka-makai roadway connecting Kona Heavens Subdivision to the
Hawaii Belt Road has been named Hina-Lani Street; and
WHEREAS, this mauka-makai roadway has been extended to its intersection with Queen
Kaahumanu Highway through the Kaloko Light Industrial Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, Section 23-49 of the Subdivision Code states "similar names may be used to
name extensions of existing streets"; and

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting of August 20, 1998, approved
. the name for a certain unnamed roadway in Kaloko, North Kona, Hawaii; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that said
roadway, as indicated on Exhibit "A" of this Resolution, be named as follows:
