My wife and I are in full support of Resolution 308 -10 We live in the Kona Paradise subdivision at Ka'ohe
Bay /Pebble Beach, and we are ardent scuba divers We have seen firsthand the impact that collectors have had
on our fish populations As compared to ten years ago, we have seen sharp declines in the numbers of frogfish,
Iionfish. yellow tangs, and many other species that are prized by collectors Last week, there were collectors in
the bay for three days in a row
Ka'ohe Bay/ Pebble Beach is one of very few easily accessible beaches and reef systems between Keauhou and
Puna Kama'arna families and visitors to the island come to Pebble Beach to enjoy the beautiful reef fish and bay
Commercial collectors in the bay destroy not only the delicate balance of the reef system but the serenity of the
The Friends of Pebble Beach have been working with the West Hawaii Fisheries Council for six years to resolve
the User Conflict problem This Resolution is a positive step Please help us save the natural beauty
of the underwater life in our bay
