AN ORDINANCE. AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, ARTICLE 1-5yCODE
OFETHICS, OF THE HAWAPI COUNTY CODE; 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS
AMENDED), RELATING TO THE COLE OF ETHICS.

SECTION 1. Purpose. The purpose Ofthis measure is to make antendnicnts to the
County Code of I:ithics to proyicle for (1) a comprehensive definition of "agency' (2) the
prohibition against County employees and companies in which a County employee has a
conutillnt interests from contracting With the C•.ounnV (3) the prohibition against anv County
agency contracting with a County employee or a company in which the County employee has a
Cceurollntg interest. and (4) the banning of County employees from representing third parties
Who appear before County agencies unless speCif ically authorized by ordinance
