WHEREAS, the King Kalakaua Statue Committee, anad hoc citizen's
group~ ha~' donated eight thousand. dollars ($8,000). to the Department of. Parks &
Recreation, Culture & Arts Section, for theupke,ep and maintenance of the statue
at theXalakaua Park in downtown Hilo; arid
