RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND
OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI~YEAR LEASE FOR A COpy MACHINE

WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or
other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a laterJiscal year be '
approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease with
cancellation option for three (3)years for one (1) copy machine for,the Kona Office of the
Prosecuting AttorneY; and. .
WHEREAS, due to the frequent downtime caused by the present aging equipment,
the Kana staff have had to tolerate lostman-hours due to machine malfunctions as well as
frequent inconveniences; and
.'. ,WHEREAS, the acquisitiqn of thisrTlachine ,will reduce downtime, thereby improving
productivity and .efficiency of the; Kana office stClff. . , "

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE;D' BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII:
i. That' the Mayor ish~rebY authoriied to enter info~three (3) year lease agreement
with cancellation options for the acquisition of a copy machine for the Kona Office of the
Prosecuting Attorney.

2. That sufficient fundsbe budgeted in'futurefisca1vears to cover the anticipated
obligation"of the County under the terms of the agreement.
