',' <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. ~'. <br /> <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI,lSl"ATE OF HAWAII <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />3 5 6-:~;,9 8 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE THE <br />DISPOSITION OF REAL PROPERTY BY LEASE TO OCEAN VIEW COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, A HAWAII NONPROFIT AGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Ocean View Community Development Corporation (OVCDC), a <br /> <br />Hawaii nonprofit agency, seeks to develop a water source in the Ocean View Subdivision to <br /> <br />provide a water dispensing and emergency water source for fire and other disaster relief in the <br /> <br />area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, OVCDC has received funds from the State of Hawaii to commence the <br /> <br />exploratory drilling for this new water well site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The County of Hawaii owns the properties adjacent to the Ocean View <br /> <br />Community Center, which have been identified as appropriate exploratory site for the water <br /> <br />wells and are identified as Tax Map Key Nos. (3) 9-2-09: 052, 053, and 054; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, OVCDC seeks a long term leaSe in order that it may proceed with its <br /> <br />exploratory drilling at that location; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 2-120 of the Hawaii County Code allows the Council by resolution <br /> <br />to direct the Finance Director to negotiate the disposition of real property by leasing it to <br /> <br />nonprofit organizations at such rentals and on such terms and conditions as deemed proper. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> <br />HAWAII that pursuant to Section 2-120, Hawaii County Code, the Director of Finance is hereby. <br /> <br />l <br />
