Subject: SUPPORT FOR PARKS DEPARTMENT DECISION
I must support the difficult decision to cut the county band in this time of economic
upheaval. It is very nice to have at public and patriotic events, but if money is tight I
prefer to have it go to maintaining staff who can keep county park bathrooms & public
facilities clean, provide adequate lifeguard protection at the
beaches, and provide park security. Those are essentials.
