We will ask the Hawaii County Council to approve extending the closure of the Haleki'i Street extension to September 4, 2010, approve amendments to Ordinance No. 08 -64, and adopt the Resolution authorizing the extension. Public use of the Haleki'i Street extension ends March 4, 2010 unless amended. The northern section of the Mamalahoa Highway Bypass connects to the 4,000 -foot long Haleki'i Street extension and is owned by 1250 Oceanside Partners. Under a grant of easement with the County of Hawaii, it has been open to one -way southbound travel to the public on a limited use since March 10, 2009. The Mamalahoa Highway Bypass is open between the hours of 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. V H.W. Lee, P.E.
