Dear Councilman Yoshimoto,
We read yesterday that you are going to try whatever is necessary to retain the County Band. Thank
you so much for your efforts. This is one cut that we feel has struck a chord with almost everyone we
know. Being the oldest band in the state has much prestige in itself.
The reason for my e -mail is a suggestion I would like to make. Since the Merrie Monarch Parade is
coming up soon and could be the last appearance our band makes, how about having a banner in
front of the band saying " Please kokua save our band" or something similar. Three or four people
could walk on either side of the band, each holding a calabash for donations.
If there is anything we and our neighbors can do to help please free to call on us.
