Subject: The County Band Should Be Axed

Aloha,
I firmly believe that the Hawaii County Council should not restore funding for the county
band when county workers will be furloughed two days a month. Why should the band get
budgetary preference over the workers who run county government ?
The county may not have the money to restore funding the band anyway.
It is very likely the legislature will likely withhold the county's share of the TAT in
light of the state's recent poor tax revenue projections.
