RESOLUTION NO. 324 10
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE MONETARY
CONTRIBUTION FROM NA LEO `O HAWAII, INC. FOR PRODUCTION COSTS
ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIDEOTAPING OF COUNCIL MEETINGS
WHEREAS, Na Leo 'O Hawaii is contributing $75,000 for production costs associated with the
videotaping of Council meetings for the period of April 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011; and
WHEREAS, their contribution will ensure continued broadcasts of County Council meetings on Na Leo,
which is very important for an informed citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawai'i County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk recommends the acceptance of this contribution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this contribution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent to
Mr. Juergen Denecke, General Manager; Na Leo '0 Hawai'i, Inc., 91 Mohouli Street, Hilo, Hawai'i 96720,
acknowledging their contribution.
